Although sanitizer should be used as per local regulatory requirements, it may be possible to reduce sanitizer use by using the best hot tub chemicals, which are available from your professional spa retailer, and by following the instructions on the Tips for Reducing Chemical Use section.

What ia Spa Marvel compatible with?

How often should change my water when using Spa Marvel?
You should change your water as per your professional spa retailer’s guidelines, or when your Total Dissolved Solids (which your retailer can measure for you) approach 2,000 ppm, and do not go past 1 year without changing. Use Spa Marvel Cleanser prior to changing the water.
What will the product do to the chemistry of my hot tub?
Expect an increase in your PH for the first week or so. If your hot tub is perfectly balanced at 7, it will change to approximately 7.6–7.8. Changing PH is a typical result of the mineral reaction. Do not try to treat it away or lower the PH. Let the minerals do their thing. Soak and enjoy, then after about a week, the water will begin to return to your typical PH, and you can treat it as needed.
What happens if I go more than 3 months without adding another bottle of Spa Marvel?
You will need to add more sanitizer to maintain desired readings, pH and alkalinity may begin to be out of range, your soft-skin feeling will diminish and you may begin to encounter foaming and scum lines. It is important to replenish Spa Marvel every three months if you are trying to get as close as possible to having a hot tub without chemicals.
Can we use Spa Marvel in a pool or swim spa?
Yes, one bottle of Spa Marvel treats up to 500 gallons (2000 liters) for 3 months with regular use. In a swim spa add 1 bottle of Spa Marvel per month. In a swimming pool, use Pool Marvel. Please do not use Pool Marvel in a swim spa or hot tub as it will cause excessive foaming.

I was really skeptical, especially after using aquafinesse and really not noticing any benefit from it, but figured I'd give this a try. Just to be clear, this is not meant to replace your sanitizing agent (chlorine, etc), despite what those old youtube reviewers might say. You still need to use a sanitizer. Those who say they used this product and got a skin infection, that is likely them trying to use just this product on its own. Big mistake. Anyway, I've found that the water definitely gets a nicer 'lotion' like feeling, less chemical irritation, and the water seems to stay a little more 'glass' like than before.

We have had our hot tub less then 2 months and every time I got out of the tub I would get a skin rash. I use the hot tub for physical therapy and was thinking about switching over to a salt water system. I found this product and ordered it after reading a ton of positive reviews. I used the hot tub cleanser that spa marvel sells and followed the directions to a tee. I also used their filter cleaner. After running the cleanser for 24 hours I emptied the hot tub and cleaned it up real good. I filled it up, added the water treatment and conditioner, and followed the rest of the instructions. I added the other chemicals and let the tub heat up overnight. The next morning I tested the water and for the first time it was all dialed in first time around. I got in and had a 45 minute soak. Not only did I NOT get a rash, but my skin actually got softer!!!! I have used it a few times now and skin is still silky smooth!This product is the real deal! So I give it 5 stars!!!!!!

The use of my product cuts all the chemical usage aside from using chlorine once a week for my acrylic lined hotub and weekly shock. This product literally controls the ph and alkaline. Makes hottub ownership so easy. I will say this is the first time purchasing through , I usually purchase through a hot tub website. I’ll see if the quality is the same but if it is just shake vigorously before you put it in, wait 24 hrs and boom. As per manufacturers statement: When Spa Marvel is in your water, pH is fine between 7.2 and 8.2. Alkalinity 80-150 (120-150 is perfect) and it’s always been that way without intervention.
