Algae Shield - 32 Ounce
GUARANTEED SAFE CHECKOUT

Description
Algae Shield and algae can't coexist. The special algicide formula of Algae Shield disperses evenly so every ounce of your water is protected against algae. This algaecide gets added to your pool water once a month and you will not need to worry about black algae or any algae in your pool or spa any longer. Most algae products on the market are made for use after an outbreak of algae occurs. Algae Shield actually prevents ugly green or black algae water.
Algae Shield is intended for use in swimming pools treated with chlorine, bromine or salt chlorination.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
does the product get rid of stains out of pools
AlgaeShield is in the Performance Chemistries line and is use for treating and preventing algae. If you have a mineral stain you can use another product in our Performance Chemistries called MetalShield. However if your staining is organic you will need to use chlorine to treat the stain. To determine the stain type please do a sock test, always test mineral first.
Sock Test:
- Place a small amount (1/2 cup to 1 cup) of pH decreaser in an old sock and tie it to form a small pouch.
- Place the sock on the stain for 3 or 4 minutes, using an extension pole to hold the sock in place, remove and discard.
If the stain has lightened or changed color where the sock was placed, the stain is mineral in nature.
If there is no change to the stain, make a similar pouch with a different old sock and 1/2 cup to 1 cup of PristineExtra. Repeat step 2.
If the stain lightens or changes color, the stain is organic.
